Kaman Industrial Technologies’ VoIP Infrastructure Helps Company Provide Unmatched Customer Service

Kaman Industrial Technologies' Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system allowed the company to provide uninterrupted service to customers during Hurricane Irene and Winter Storm Alfred. Despite power outages at nine branch locations in Irene’s path, Kaman’s VoIP system successfully re-routed over 1,350 calls per day, allowing customers in the affected areas to reach a live service representative immediately.

Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation, a subsidiary of Kaman Corporation, announced today that it has acquired certain assets of Plains Bearing Corp., a full line bearing and power transmission distributor with one location in Lubbock, Texas. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Kaman Corporation announced today that its subsidiary Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation (Kaman) has acquired the assets of Target Electronic Supply, Inc. (Target), of Westwood, Massachusetts. Target, a leading motion control distributor in the New England trading area, increases Kaman’s already strong position in those markets and will become part of Kaman’s Minarik subsidiary.
